DWI
Driving while intoxicated or driving while impaired. DWI is a general term used to describe the criminal action of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, impaired or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Intoxicants can mean alcohol, prescription or illicit drugs, compounds, preparations (over-the-counter or otherwise), medications, plants, herbs, or any other substance that alters a persons mental or physical ability to safely operate a vehicle.
