Blood Alcohol Content
Blood Alcohol Content (also Blood Alcohol Concentration) or Breath Alcohol Concentration, refers to the amount of alcohol present in the blood or breath and is used to determine if a person is under the influence (intoxicated). BAC or Blood Alcohol Content is typically measured using breath tests or actual drawing and testing of a DUI suspect's blood. The usual ratio standards are the number of grams of alcohol either per 100 milliliters of blood, or per 210 liters of breath.
